    How do I join the club ?

    To join this club you must complete the Membership Application form and send it and the appropriate  membership fees and initiation fees to:

     Collingwood Rod and Gun Club, Box 396, Collingwood, Ontario, L9Y3Z7.

    In addition, your application to join the club must be accepted by the members at one of our monthly meetings.

    Where is the club located?

    Located in an idyllic setting nestled on the waters edge, north of Collingwood at the end of Gun Club Road (off Highway 26). The club is located at 12 Gun Club Road in Collingwood  (2 km N of the intersection of First St & Balsam St .)

    How can I get firearms training ?

    There are different aspects of firearms training:.  

    (1) The training that you need to complete to obtain a firearms licence       

    Firearms Safety (Non Restricted & Restricted, P.A.L.) and Hunter Education Courses.
    The courses are conducted every month with a minimum of 10 candidates.
    Courses are 10 hours and are conducted on Friday evenings (7pm to 10pm) & conclude the following day-Saturday from 8 am till 3pm.
    The Cost of the Firearms Safety & Hunter Ed Courses are $120 per person. 
    Exceptions: The restricted (handgun) course is 6 hours at a cost of $100.

    (2) The training that you need to complete to obtain an ATT

    This is the club level safety training specific to the Collingwood Rod and Gun Club.  It is offered twice each year usually in May and September when there are sufficient members to fill the class. 

    (3) Marksmanship coaching

    On alternate Monday evenings our club offers the opportunity for members to shoot under the supervision of our Range Officer.  Shooting skills are developed through practice and our Range Officer and other club members can point out the common errors that negatively affect  shooting ability.  To check our club calendar for "Open Shoot" dates click here

    What firearms can I use at the range?

    You are permitted to shoot any handgun, rim fire rifles and shotguns with slugs.

    When is the Range open?

    Shooting takes place between the hours 9:00am and 9:00pm, except on Sundays. Sunday hours are between 11:00am and 9:00 pm.

    Please note that organized events preempt individual use of range. Check the Upcoming Events for range and clubhouse availability.
